Privacy policy
Your information, between us.
We collect the bare minimum to respond to your requests. No tracking, no advertising, no reselling.
Last updated: October 15, 2026.
Who is responsible
Simon Meloche-Goulet, sole proprietorship (NEQ 2271857445) operating La Cabane à Tuque, 370, montée Fortier, Mont-Tremblant, Quebec J8E 2E8, is responsible for the personal information collected through this website. For any question or request, write to simon@lacabaneatuque.com or call 819-425-9129.
What we collect
The group request form
When you request a quote for a group, you send us: your name, email, phone number, the name of your business, school or group (optional), the number of guests, the date and time you want, the type of experience and your message.
The “Special requests or needs” field may contain health information, such as allergies. Only enter it if you want us to take it into account. By submitting the form, you consent to our using it for that purpose.
Booking for the public
Bookings and payments for the public are made on Tixigo, not on this website. Tixigo collects the information needed for booking and payment according to its own privacy policy. We receive from Tixigo the details of your booking (name, contact information, number of guests, date) to prepare your meal.
By email or by phone
If you write to us or call us, we keep what you tell us for as long as it takes to reply.
If you send us a testimonial, we publish it on this site with your first name and the initial of your last name, only with your agreement. You may ask for its removal at any time.
Why we use it
Only to respond to your request, confirm and prepare your booking, take your needs into account (allergies, accessibility, bus) and reach you about your visit. We do not use your information for newsletters, advertising or prospecting, and we do not sell it to anyone.
No tracking on this website
This website uses no measurement cookies, no audience-analytics tools, no advertising pixels and no embedded social media buttons. Fonts and images are hosted on the site itself. So we don't know who visits the site or what they do on it.
Links to other sites (Tixigo, Facebook) take you off this site: their own rules apply there.
The group form is protected against bots by Turnstile, a Cloudflare service. It only loads when you open the form: before that, no connection is made with Cloudflare. Once loaded, Cloudflare receives your IP address and technical information about your browser to verify that you are a person, according to its own policy.
The virtual tour is hosted by Avenue360. It only loads if you click “Virtual tour”: before that click, no connection is made with that service. After the click, Avenue360 receives your IP address and may use its own cookies, according to its policy.
Who we share it with
- Formspree, the service that receives group form requests and forwards them to us by email. It acts on our behalf. Its servers are located outside Quebec, notably in the United States: your information may therefore be processed and stored outside Quebec. See the Formspree privacy policy.
- Tixigo, for public bookings and payments.
- Cloudflare (Turnstile), only if you open the group form (anti-bot verification).
- Avenue360, only if you start the virtual tour (see above).
- RapideNet, the website host. As with any website, its servers receive your IP address and technical information about your browser on each visit (server logs), kept for the security and proper operation of the site. Its servers are located in Montréal.
- Our email provider, which receives the requests forwarded by Formspree and is used for our exchanges with you.
Beyond that, we share your information with no one, unless the law requires it.
How long we keep it
As long as it takes to process your request and host your group. Requests that do not lead to a booking are destroyed no later than 12 months after receipt. Information related to a confirmed booking is kept until the end of the season, then destroyed or anonymized, unless accounting or legal obligations require keeping it longer.
Your rights
You may at any time:
- ask to access the information we hold about you;
- have it corrected if it is inaccurate;
- withdraw your consent or ask us to destroy it;
- ask for a copy of your information.
Write to us at simon@lacabaneatuque.com. We will reply within 30 days. If you believe your rights have not been respected, you may file a complaint with the Commission d'accès à l'information du Québec.
Security
We limit access to your information to the people who need it to serve you. If a confidentiality incident presented a serious risk of harm, we would notify you and the Commission d'accès à l'information, as the law provides.
Changes
If this policy changes, the update date above will change too. The online version is always the most recent.
