The experience

Take off your tuque and sit down.

A smiling server carries a tray of six steaming bowls of soup through the shack's dining room45 seats, shared tables

The wood stove warms the room, we bring the dishes to you, the table fills up. Help yourself, help yourself again, we don't count. If the maples are running that day, the evaporator is boiling right next to you.

Between servings, go for a walk in the woods or try axe throwing. And when the weather cooperates and we need a hand, come help us collect the sap.

About

“In 2025, with my friend Jesse, we built the new shack with the wood from the old one and from the forest next door. It's heated with wood.”

In the beginning, the shack and my home were the same place, transformed for sugaring season. I built it in 2013–2014 with more than a hundred friends and volunteers. Come see for yourself.
